Reflection / Opportunities
Maybe research into other qualities of the Antelope Valley (Joshua tree, etc.)
Did you know Joshua trees as a species are 2.5 million years old? They were around when mammoths and saber-tooth cats were around. It’s like taking a glimpse back into history.
What if we did a campaign about going back in time? Many things change in the past millennia, Joshua trees haven’t.
Challenge
Create a creative campaign for a location/place.
Context
The Antelope Valley is located in the western Mojave Desert. It is home to the golden poppy super bloom, a wildflower bloom that occurs every 10 years in California. Due to climate change and drought, this cyclical decade-occurrence has become harder to predict.
The Idea
Since the event of a super bloom is so sporadic, what if there was an integration on the IOS/Google weather app for Antelope Valley. People can check a live view of the fields, and whenever a super bloom occurs, the app will notify the user.
